Sal Trees
This is a common species found in severla types of forests of the North-eastern regioin of India, extending in to Madya pradesh and orissa. It ahs bright green foliage and its canopy remains green almost throughout the year, sla wood is hard and durable .sal trees yield a large number of seeds which are used in making cosmotecs .The sal forests are rich in wild mammals, birds, reptiles and insect life severla areas are included in our network of national parks and sancturies.
Identification of Teak
The Teak tree is identified by its large leaves,which grow to more thea 40 or 50 cms long and 20 cm wide; it has tiny flowers and fruit .In hte winter, the trees shed all their leaves. In the growing season, which begins in April extends through the monsoon, teak forests are bright green and shady>Most natural teak forests have various other species of plants and have a large number of wildanimals. some teak forests that have exceptional populations of wildlife have been decleared as PAs and included in our National parks and wildlife sanctuaries
Common plant species
Teak : This tree is from the south-west parts of penisular India. it si a common tree in deciduous forests,and yields a much sought-after timber used for making excellent furniture .During the early British period,it was cut down from many forest tracts to build ships .As the stocks were diminshing, the Bristish selected areas which they called Reserverd Forested there teak eas planted for the Goverment's use. Teak is groun extensively by the forest Department and highly-priced wood.

Biodiversity is beautiful and wonderful aspect of nature .Sit in a forest and listen to the birds.watch a spider weave its complex web. observe a fish feeding.it is maginificent and fascinating.
Ethical and moral values
Ethical values related to biodiversity conversation are based on the importance of protecting all froms of life.Most relegious and secular creeds believe that all forms of lige have the right to exist on Earth.Man is only a small part of the Earth's great family of species;plants and animals have eqal rights to live and exist on our planed. we do no know if life as we know exists any where else in the universe.Do we have the right to destroy life-forms or do we have a duty to protect them.
Apart from the economic importance of conserving biodiversity ,they are several cultutal,moral and ethhical values,which are associated with the sancity of all forms of life.
